| St. Luke's Closed November 26 - 28 |
| The St. Luke's campus will be closed Wednesday, November 26th through Friday, November 28th for the Thanksgiving holiday. All meetings, activities, etc. will not take place on those days as the campus will be closed and all facilities will be closed. Normal campus activities will resume on Saturday, November 29th. Happy Thanksgiving. |

| Night of Hope Christmas Party and Candlelight Communion |
| There will be a "Night of Hope" Christmas Party and Candlelight Communion at St. Luke's on Wednesday, December 3rd at 6:00 p.m. This event will be a combination of a Christmas party and Christmas Candlelight Communion. There will be a short service followed by a fellowship hour. |

| Joy Center: Joyfully Offer Yourself in November and December |
| St. Luke's is offering a Joy Center that allows you to "Joyfully Offer Yourself: What YOU Can Do to Make a Difference!" at both the Central and HopeSpring campuses this November and December.
The Joy Centers help you find ways for you and your family to share the joy of Christ with others this holiday season by serving others in the community. The centers will be open each Sunday during worship where you can sign up, pick up a list of supplies, or items needed.
The Central Campus Joy Center will be the Rotunda of Building C and offers the following opportunities from November 9th to December 15th:
- Wish Tree - grab a tag and return a gift to the Sanctuary by Sunday, Dec. 7th. All gifts benefit the children in need through the Social Workers of Orange County Public Schools.
- IHN - Interfaith Hospitality Network; gifts and gifts cards need to help family in transition from homelessness to hope in their own home. Ideas for gift cards range from haircuts, to grocery shopping to movie tickets.
- Coalition for the Homeless - One of St. Luke's UMC stable ministries supported throughout the year, needs toys for the boys and girls living in the shelter this Christmas. How can you help? Purchase a new unwrapped toy for an elementary boy or girl
- Cooking for Coalition for the Homeless - Saturday, Dec. 20th, meet at the church Fellowship Hall at 11am to help load supplies and ingredients; travel downtown to prepare a home cook meal
- Serving a Christmas Meal for the Coalition for the Homeless - Saturday, Dec. 20th, meet at the church Fellowship Hall at 4pm; travel downtown to serve a home cook meal.
- Donations for food items for Coalition for the Homeless - Stop by to receive an items out of the "fruit basket" to see how you can help with the menu items for a home cook meal.
- SHARE holiday packages; monetary donations accepted to help provide food for people in need.
- SHARE Thanksgiving and Christmas delivery day. Volunteer on Saturday, Nov. 22nd and/or Dec. 20th from 9am-12pm in the Fellowship Hall to help distribute food.
- West Orange Daily Bread (WODB) serving - Serve a noon time meal to those in need at the Christian Service Center in Ocoee. Tues & Wed & Thursday from 10am-12:30pm. Nov. 18th, 19th, & 20th, and Dec. 23rd and 24th.
- West Orange Daily Bread (WODB) "Bags of Grace" meal - fill a grocery bag full of food. Suggested items are attached to paper bags for your shopping ease. Return bags to the JOY Center.
- Family Assistance — meals in a bag-fill a grocery bag full of food to be used in a food pantry.
- Shalom Ministry — Bibles and devotional materials are need for those incarcerated. Can be slightly used devotional materials and new Bibles.
- Adopt a family — toys and clothes for children and dinner and gift cards for households; contact Mariam for specific needs.
- Habitat for Humanity — Give a gift that continues to last, such as a door, box of nails, or a toilet seat. Help build a home with monetary donations to Habitat for Humanity. All proceeds go to materials for St. Luke’s eight home.
- Educational IMPACT — School supplies needed now, not only at the beginning of the year. Please donate supplies to help Mollie Rae and Pine loch Elementary Schools. List will be provided at the JOY Center.
- Angel Tree (Shalom Ministry) - Angel Tree is a national holiday gift program of Prison Fellowship that works with families and children of incarcerated adults. How can you help? Purchase a clothing item and toy specifically requested by a child whose parent(s) are incarcerated. Gifts will be delivered to the child directly at the Annual Pizza Party hosted by Shalom Ministries)
The HopeSpring Campus Joy Center will be located near the Resource Table in the cafeteria from November 16th - December 15th. The HopeSpring Campus Joy Center will offer the following opportunities:
- Wish Tree - grab a tag and return a gift during worship by Sunday, Dec. 7th. All gifts benefit children in need through the Social Workers of Orange County Public Schools. Val Dobson is the contact person for this project.
- Food for Families Holiday Food Project through Bread for Life - Sorting and packing food for families at the Ocoee High School cafeteria the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving (Nov. 26th) at 7:00 pm and, if you can, delivering food on Thanksgiving Day from 8:00 am until delivered. Alais Salvador is the contact person for this project.
- SoSA (Society of St. Andrews) Advent Coin Banks and Devotional Guides. SoSA is a hunger organization that sends volunteers into fields and citrus groves to recover food left unharvested which is then shipped to food banks and organizations serving the poor across our nation. Coin banks and devotional guides will be handed out in worship on Sunday, November 30th which is the first Sunday of Advent. Pastor Gary Shockley and Bob Gibson are contact persons for this ministry. The next opportunity to "glean" citrus in our area will be on January 31st SoSA's annual Citrus Harvest.
- Light Up Winter Garden is Friday, December 5th. Each year we set-up a HopeSpring booth in the town square to hand out candy and gifts to children and to share information about our ministries. Set-up begins at 4:30 pm and we staff our booth until 9:00 p.m. Pastor Gary is the contact person for this outreach event.
- FREE Gift Wrapping at Winter Garden Mall at Fowler's Grove is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, December 13th from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. We wrap presents for our neighbors (at no charge) to simply express God’s love and the joy we have this season! We’ll be seeking volunteers to staff two or more locations in the mall. Pastor Gary is the contact for this event.
